espresso at Hamngatan

Most of the city was closed due to Midsummer and the atmosphere was incredibly sleepy. As long as one can have an espresso by Hamngatan there’s still hope. (2007-06-23)

You know, although the coffee machine sounds the same, (and it could even be the same manufacturer - I'm trying to remember the logo) it's so incredible to imagine Midsummer in Stockholm, and what people might be talking about in this cafe, on this day. I like these!! Yes, I do!!

Midsummer is really partying time for many Swedes so while most of the town remained closed it was rather silent elsewhere. A TV monitor kept promoting the next round of horse gambling, otherwise rather quiet in this place for gambling. Except for that coffee machine of course, probably a standard model known (and heard) elsewhere too.
